About the Future Females Journey
The Programme Content
The programme is divided into 6 modules. Each module is covered over a one month period. The modules are as listed below:
Introduction to the Energy Sector provides an overview of the energy sector as a whole, both national grid and off-grid. Participants will learn about the fundamental principles and structures of energy, the evolution of energy supply, and the system as a whole, from power generation to energy consumption by the end-user. We will also touch on politics and laws surrounding energy sector
Introduction to Leadership Skills is aimed at developing key leadership skills and insights into what it means to lead at three different levels: Personal, Interpersonal (Team), and Organizational. The program employs a unique combination of classical and contemporary theory, personal development exercises, and action-learning.
Speak Up and Lead teaches you how to be proactive in the face of a challenge, speak up for what’s right, inspire others, and create an empowering environment for your team to succeed.
An Introduction to Finance introduces you to some finance basics and equips you with the right language to start talking about and understanding finance. This module is critical for future managers who want to engage with their colleagues around financial issues and participate in discussions around the financial implications of business decisions.
Risk Management provides a comprehensive overview of the field of enterprise-wide risk management. Participants will learn how to apply the knowledge they gained practically by creating their own risk register and utilizing risk management tools and methodologies, which can be presented to a board of directors or senior management, or used as a strategically beneficial intervention throughout their careers.
Project Management looks at all the concepts and processes needed to successfully set up and manage projects. This is a very practical course that will guide you to make use of a number of tools and frameworks.
At the end of the programme, participants will be required to submit a project report on an existing case study, encouraging the practical application of learnings across all 6 modules.
