Meet the Speaker
Oladapo James, Global People Director, FairMoney
Oladapo James is a seasoned Senior Human Resource professional with over a decade of diverse experience across sectors such as consulting, financial services, FMCG, education, and technology. He has expertly led critical HR functions, including Recruitment, Performance Management, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, HR Operations, HR Strategy, and HR Information Systems (HRIS). Known for his integrity, diligence, and strategic focus on aligning HR practices with organizational goals, Oladapo has a proven track record of driving sustainable business success.
Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles at top organizations like KPMG Professional Services, NEM Insurance Plc, Lagos State Polytechnic, Coronation Merchant Bank, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, and Pladis Global. Currently, he serves as the Global Human Resource Director at FairMoney, where he provides strategic HR oversight for employees in over 40 countries worldwide.
Oladapo holds an MSc and BSc in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the University of Lagos and a B.Ed. in Economics from the University of Ibadan. His credentials are bolstered by certifications such as Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Certified Human Resource Analyst (CHRA), and SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). He is also a certified SAP HCM Consultant, a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management, and a member of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators (IPMA).
A prolific thought leader in the HR space, Oladapo has co-authored over 20 publications in international and local journals. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, playing instruments and hanging with friends.
